Forty-five invited experts from across the country
participated in the working conference. (A full list of participants is
provided below.) Participants came from a diverse set of disciplines:
attorneys and other advocates for older people and people with
disabilities, health plan representatives, state Medicaid agency
representatives, health policy researchers, Congressional staff, and
representatives from CMS. Several participants were involved with state
demonstration projects approved by CMS for the integration of Medicaid
and Medicare services to older people and people with disabilities.
