  • Connecticut Association of Area Agencies on Aging - www.ctagenciesonaging.org - The five Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) in Connecticut are private, not-for-profit corporations established in Connecticut in 1974 to provide leadership and resources to meet the needs of the rapidly growing elderly population.  CHOICES is a cooperative program of the State of Connecticut Department of Social Services, Area Agencies on Aging and the Center for Medicare Advocacy, Inc.  This website provides access to websites for each Area Agency on Aging and lists the towns each region serves.
     
  • Connecticut Department of Social Services, Elderly Services Division - www.ctelderlyservices.state.ct.us - This site supports seniors and promotes programs such as the CHOICES program that serve the growing needs of the aging community in all five regions of Connecticut.  This site has been designed to make finding services for the elderly easier.  It has a page devoted just to their publications, and a page just for "programs" and links to other related sites.

  • SHIP National Network - https://www.shiptalk.org - The State Health Insurance Assistance Program, or SHIP, is a national program that offers one-on-one counseling and assistance to people with Medicare and their families. Through federal grants directed to states, SHIPs provide free counseling and assistance via telephone and face-to-face interactive sessions, public education presentations and programs, and media activities.
